    Just posted all my forms back to NDL.
    DM, how long did it take from the forms being sent back to your actual interview with the intermedary?
    Im on pins 24/7, and the pressure is driving me mad!!!!

    Hi Elfieb,
    I posted my forms back on friday 17th and my intermediary rang on the following friday 24th, I recieved my barcode and paper copy of insolvency online forms to sign on 5th may, i paid the £90 and signed and sent the forms back on the same day, rang my intermediary to confirm my payment, she confirmed they had recieved the credit report back, and that as soon as she recieves my signed copy of forms she will ring me and confirm i want to go ahead and she will submit my application, Then i just need to wait again to hear from the OR to know if my DRO has been accepted.
    It is a very long process, i started my application on 6th april. The phone calls from creditors are getting worse by the day, but am nearing the end now fingers crossed.

    hope this has helped, i know the waiting is the worse part.

    hi everyone glad your on your way dizzymums they have all my paper work over 2wks im waiting for the phonecall also a nervous wreck bad tempered scared of the unknown what ifs i wish they would hurry up i realise just how many people are in the same boat waiting the same as us i just want to know one way or another did your interview go smoothly any awkward questions any help will do good luck

    Hi,
    Nice to know i'm not alone on this journey into the unknown DRO, The interview with my intermediary was very good no awkward questions at all, most of the info they need to input online is already on your forms you filled in, only extra questions i had were previous address for last 6 years, and previous names if any, and tax reference code number if you have one, then they confirm all your debts etc, and ask you to confirm details about income/expenditure. I suppose if you had a car they might have to ask info regarding that. Nothing at all to worry about, easy to say i know, i was an absolute mess waiting for my intermediary to ring, but honest it is nothing to worry about.

    I know exactly how you feel regarding the phone calls.
    I have been following what NDL told me to do, ie saying you are seeking advice, not prepared to discuss matters over the phone, and hang up.
    I have also discovered this nifty little thing that BT provide. It enables you to block any number you want. I simply note down the number of an annoying creditor and add it to my blocked list.
    Costs just over £3.00 a month, but is certainly worth it for peace of mind! (plus I dont pay the phone bill!!! )

    Dizzymum, if you are about.........

    Have you had to send in bank statements/credit card statements in to the intermedary at all?

    Just checking, because if they are needed I will start to sort them out asap!

    I found this and can see creditors using it to object to a DRO:

    Reporting misconduct
    Although the grounds for objecting to a DRO are quite strict, the official receiver will always consider any evidence from creditors detailing misconduct regarding the debtor’s dealings or property, or suggestions for further explanation or enquiry.
    Examples of useful information would be if you have information previously unknown to the official receiver, which identifies undisclosed assets or debts, or about the debtor’s behaviour.

    Examples of the type of behaviour which may result in further action being taken are:
    • non-disclosure or removal of assets;
    • dishonesty in obtaining credit;
    • failure to keep or produce records which account for losses during the 2 years prior to the DRO;
    • disposal of assets at less than their value resulting in a loss to creditors;
    • payment of some creditors in preference to others;
    • excessive pension contributions;
    • failure to supply goods or services wholly or partly paid for, resulting in a loss to creditors;
    • incurring debts (as an individual or a trader) which they had no reasonable prospect of paying;
    • gambling, rash and hazardous speculation or unreasonable extravagance which has materially contributed to or increased the debt;
    • neglect of business affairs which may have materially contributed to or increased the extent of the debts;
    • fraud or fraudulent breach of trust;
    • failure to co-operate with the official receiver.
    This list is not exhaustive. If you know of any misconduct by the debtor which you think may have contributed significantly to their insolvency, please put this in writing to the official receiver, together with copies of any supporting documentation

    Anyone know what the implications of the above could mean?
    Would DRO be refused, or would a DRU be called for?

    I hope everything goes to plan for you.

    I am considering doing this myself, i just don't know if i'll meet all the criterias, it's a shame there's no one on here that has completed one to give us guidance. :(

    Do you know if you get the £90 fee back if it gets declined? Sorry if i've missed it in this thread.

    £90 is not refunded if it gets declined, but I believe that your intermedary should give you a good idea as to whether the DRO will be approved.

    OMG OMG OMG OMG :eek:

    My intermediary has rung and they are going to send in my application for DRO to the Offical Reciever today, The OR will contact me in a couple of days to inform me if my application has been accepted/declined.

    I feel sick, shaking, dizzy, nervous, bricking it :eek: oh my god i am so scared that it will not be accepted, but then if it is accepted, i still have to wait to see if any of my creditors reject there debt being included and then have to wait for OR to decide if to revoke the DRO, oh billy O, beginning to think i should of tried to fend them off for another 6 months while i tried to save up the fees and gone for bankruptcy. And if they get DRO revoked they are going to come after me with a vengance.

    But on the positive side....

    OR will accept DRO application, no creditors will argue, and all will be hunky dory, :j

    so sorry for the little wobbly rant, just needed to say what was spinning round my head,
