i am trying (trying in vain) to transfer music form my computer to my phone (samsung e530) using a bluetooth usb dongle.
some mp3 files its loading and playing ok. on others the phone uploads them as normal, then when i try to play it says unsuppoted file. any ideas what the problem could be, they are all mp3 files and all play fine on the computer.

Are you sure they are all MP3? some could be in windows media format, You wouldn't really notice until you transfer them. Look to see if the file extention (the bit after the .) says .mp3 or .wma
It maybe you need to convert them to MP3 before transferring, this site maybe of interest to you

possible compression ratio? mp3 files are usually ripped at different ratios which range from around 72kbs to 320kbs (you can go higher or lower but most downloaded are in this range) the lower the compressing the smaller the file size is, for example the same song at different compression could be 1mb for a 72kbs to 7mb for 320kbs. it maybe the phone only supports a certain range...all speculation but worth a check on the size of the files that won't play in relation to the size of the ones which willWelcome, rogerramjet.
