USB Fingerprint advice

I need to put an opating system in a USB stick, but its fingerprint protected. When I place it in the machine i need the operating system in will it work?

If it doesn't require a driver to use the fingerprint reader and you unlock it quickly enough before your PC attempts to boot off it then I can't see why it wouldn't work. If it does require a special driver then it won't work.

Did you particularly want the O/S on an encrypted drive? It may be slower than using an unencrypted one depending on the quality of the device.

I guess you mean the usb stick is protected.

The whole point of fingerprint recognition is it's to protect the system, you may get around it but your likely to end up either wiping the contents that are being protected on the stick, or just locking it out.

Depending on how the stick is set up it may not even let you in until you unlock it with a fingerprint, but there may be a small unrpotected section that will let you hold fingerprint drivers but without a print you probably out of luck reseting it.

USB sticks are so cheap why not jsut buy a cheap 1gb stick.
