Although a rather unusual forum rule, I have now read the rules further and my money saving links will be removed.
Thankyou for the heads up. :T0 -

Not that anyone needs my backing here but I will give it anyway.
SmileyCentral is BAD, BAD, BAD. Go nowhere near it. Not just for the malware issues but also for the fact it's a massive resource hogger and can be dreadful to remove once it's got its hooks into your PC.
Also I see a side reference to FunWebProducts ... same thing applies.
Generally, anything with "free screensvers" is also to be avoided.
These are the things that attract kids to click away merrily and infect everything.0 -
OMG, I've installed smiley central, and had come over from MS old style 'cos I can't work it!
Now I'm terrified, how do I get rid of it?
Instructions for a moron please, I'm just not technical!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
First, uninstall Smiley Central from Add/Remove Programs
1) Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel
2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs
3) Find "My Web Search (Smiley Central)" in the list of installed programs and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it. You may also want to uninstall any of the following items associated with FunWebProducts.- My Web Search
- My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
- My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
- My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
- Search Assistant - My Way
4) Reboot your Computer
then to be sure follow steps 1 to 4 of this thread

Follow BT's worthy advice but, if you're still stuck with it, you can try this (last Q & A at very bottom of page) .....

Yes, I know "removers" issued by program authors don't often work but I have seen this one do the trick on at least one occassion.
Good luck. Let us know what worked for you so others can learn from your experience.0 -
