Freeview box not showing BBC channels

Hi I bought a freeview box recently for our new build home - the idea was that we would use this on our main tv until Sky had been installed and then shift it to the bedroom tv.

On our main tv the box worked fine and all (I think) channels were available certainly all the main ones.

When it come to moving the freeview box to the bedroom and auto installed it, all the channels except BBC1/2 are present. I have tried to auto scan, and manual scan for channels on several occasions but I still cant get BBC1/2.

Any suggestions?

Are you using an internal aerial in the bedroom? If so, that's most likely to be your problem.

Sorry, forgot to mention... using communal aerial, the same one that the main tv is attached to - via the socket in the wall.

Loaner-knocking out the bbc mux, an amp might help.

    How do I do this?

Thanks for your reply but we are definately not on the sutton coldfield transmitter. As i aluded to this has been an ongoing issue and we haven't been able to get bbc for approx 4 months.

I'm guessing you don't have any amplification on your signal.

You could try testing for a weak signal by disconnecting the main tv aerial and see if that changes the reception on your second television.

If that improves your reception on your second television then you may need some amplification or a new aerial.

Yes booster should make a difference, but do ensure the bedroom cable is actually connected to the aerial and also that te cable and connections are not damaged.
