Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice on behalf of a friend. My friend currently works part time and has a 4year old son. He is due to start school in August. Currently, her parents look after him whilst she goes to work but it is taking it's toll on them to look after him 5days (sometimes 7!) so she has enrolled him into the local wrap around care.
The thing is, she is now going to put him in for the whole of the summer holidays because he loves it that much (and she wants to give her parents a rest) but she is not sure how this will work for her childcare element.
At the minute she is paying about £40 per week for the 2days but when he is there for 5 this will be as much as £115 (approx) per week. Does she add up how much each week will cost then divide by amount of weeks or is there another way? I was going to suggest this to her but didn't want to just incase I am wrong or it is seen as fraud.
(By doing this it worked out at approx £84 per week)
This is only until he goes to school as her hours will be changing to work around the school hours.
Thanks

Add it up all up over the year and then divide by 52 and that is the weekly figure you give to TCO.0

I always told them how much they charged me per week.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

That's the way I was told to do it and the way I have done it. Rather than faffing around with differing figures and getting new calculations done all the time I was told to give a weekly average figure.
Maybes Subsonic will clarify0 -
Oh well whoopsie if i was doing it wrong, they just asked me how much I was being charged per week and I told them.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

Actually i may be lying, i got the figure from my nursery manager, so she probably worked it out over the whole year

I bet you are...I was 10 days overdue when I was pregnant and it would have been as well being 10 years!! Then I was in labour for 37 hours - she just didn't want to come out at all:eek: I remember saying to the midwife (fuelled by gas and air I hasten to add!) that if it 'didn't come out I was going to put my hand up there and pull it out myself!!!:o
I hope everything goes well and I look forward to reading when you have him x0
