Help...need To Advice On Laminate Flooring

You generally do get what you pay for. One of the main considerations is the thickness of the laminate. Most flooring products are made of cheap wood coated with a veneer of decent wood on top. The very cheapest will have a very thin veneer, so thin that the slightest scratch will go right through and expose the cheap wood underneath, and you'll always see the scratch. As you increase the price ( generally ), the thickness of the veneer increases, and the very good stuff you can sand many times to remove scratches without going through the veneer. The veneer is the expensive part as it's good wood, so the cheaper the product the thinner the veneer.0

ive done lots of rooms with the cheap stuff from BQ and wickes. not had any real problems. pergo is great but very expensive, esp for large areas.
best advice is to remove the skirtings and refit afterwards. or renew it.
far better than the edge trims they sell. and cheaper.Get some gorm.0 -
I fitted some of the inexpensive stuff from B&Q about 2 years ago, it was a doddlle to fit and still looks really well!0
