Bradford and Bingley vs Citibank

Hi all,

long time reader first time poster here. So im deciding which bank to put my savings in (after an ISA of course). I have about 5k and was deciding between B&B and Citibank. I'm aware the citibank rate is slightly higher (2.76% to 2.5%, both with 1 year bonuses of abuot 1.4%) but is there any safety benefit to B&B, it being owned by Santander and all? I guess with Citibank being a huge american bank it couldnt really be allowed to collapse, but being a UK subsidiary of an American bank does slightly unsettle me.
Just so you know, I have the NatWest ISA and an Alliance and Leicster Premier current account(Santander again).
What would you go for, and why? I know its not a massive question, but I was just wondering...

thanks,
Steve
