I have never switched before and have just done price comparisons with energy helpline and simply switch. They both recommend london Energy. Although they both show the same estimated savings, they both quote different prices, as does the London Energy website itself. Which can I rely on?

Another site for you to try https://www.ukpower.co.uk usually accurate information and keeps up to date with price increases. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Personally I wouldn't trust the price comparison sites. Having just checked, using exactly the same figures and information, two of them returned the same result which differs considerably with the energy suppliers own website.
1. Switchtching to npower - energyhelpline - £81/annum saving
2, Switching to npower - ukpower - £81/annum saving
3. Npower's website - £31/annum saving which is more believable when comparing the price/unit with my present supplier.
So for a more accurate comparison I would use the suppliers website every time and compare unit costs.0 -

If it's London Energy ONLINE you looked at, it is only available via the comparison sites. London Energy's own website only has details of its standard tariff.0 -
I checked my own postcode the other night on u-switch. It suggested I could save a hundred quid or so duel fuel (compared to Atlantic's tarrif from 1st Jan) if I signed up with London Elecy or one of their sister companies. When i cross checked the quoted costs per Kwh, it transpired that the comparison was based on prices prior to the price increase announced in mid Feb which take effect on 16th March. What sort of a comparison is that??Ethical moneysaver0
