I'm sure it depends on which and how many funds you have, my loyalty bonus seems to get incremented much more frequently than that - albeit by very tiny amounts!

Transferred all my unit trusts to them years ago. No complaints - very efficient.

I currently have about £12K in an H-L stock ISA held as cash.

Where would be the best place to get investment advice for that. H-L themselves or elsewhere?

HL have a good DIY offering but their advice channel is expensive. Any investment specialist IFA or discretionary investment manager should be fine (depending on how you want to invest)
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Would I be right in saying H-L are good for managed funds good discount when buying and can change funds free of charge within the Vantage service but Selftrade or Sharedeal active is better for buying and selling shares due to cheaper costs but worse customer service.
