Can I freeze my tinned goods?

Well, I've never done it  However, I love to see a tidy pantry, so get those tins into your freezer :D

Well, I don't see why not. Just be careful you don't defrost them and then refreeze unless you cook them first.

If you're struggling for space in the pantry do what I've done and get Harrod's to delay the shopping order until you've used up some of the goods. They are soooo obliging when you ask :D Also try freezing some of those pesky packets of pasta & cup a soups ;)

Did you know you have to double wrap them in cloths soaked in Stardrops first before freezing

Why not just unplug that big empty freezer and use it as a tinned goods cupboard. My dishwasher broke down a few months ago and now it is a great vegetable/fruit store cupboard!
I wouldn't freeze tinned foods because the goods inside will expand when frozen and you could have some major things going on in your freezer!

I love freezer surprise - always fun at the end of the day:D Like my grandad many moons ago who thought he was making Steak Pie and chips, turned out he was making Apple Pie and chips, hey ho, you live and learn.

It's even more interesting for dog owners - you don't know if you're going to have baked beans or Pedigree Chum on your toast!:D

Don't freeze tinned food  It's likely to expand in the tins and may even burst, could be messy! There's also the chance that the quality of the food might be affected as well.

But from a food safety point of view - don't think there's anything to worry about!!
