although many say they don't exist i think they do. i remember leg pains. my shins used to ache
my childrens, ankles and legs hurt too. and they mainly feel them at night when the body becomes relaxed and they are more aware of pains then. i can only massage them with deep heat and encourage them to exercise a bit like running and skipping to help exercise the muscles too,.0 -
My son used to get terrible pains in his ankles and legs to the point where he would come in from school and have to go around on his hands & knees with his feet stuck in the air! He had scans and x-rays but they came back alright and the doctor said the pain was caused by his bones growing quicker than his tendons, or something like that. I think growing pains are worse if your child has growth spurts, my son always seemed to grow by an inch overnight and he had terrible pains but my daughter has grown gradually and had no pains at all.Dum Spiro Spero0

My daughter 14 in a few days, has terrible one s in her back.I believe its because her height has shot up so quickly.I just give her a hot water bottle to place on to ease it.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth

my DD has had this on and off since she was 3, she's now 10, gets them occasionally, then has a growth spurt, at least now she understands why, and looks forward to the new clothes that extra height brings her.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

When my son was a teen he had lots of knee pain. It was diagnosed as Osgood-Schlatter Disease. Very common during growing spurts0
