Hi
Does anyone know of a really good value site for car hire in Europe - specifically France and Switzerland?

Try holidayautos.co.uk.
£25 per day in Italy with a no one way drop fee which I thought was good value. Don't know about France or Switzerland though. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks - I've had a look and they seem to be pretty good value.
It appears that EasyCar has relaunched away from the EasyJet umbrella and they look quite good too.
Anyone tried them and, if so, do they offer good value?

Using auctionsnipe as sugested on the ebay site I won the link to a company listed as https://www.vehiclebookers.com. Their prices compared very well with holiday autos 'cause they included a lot of the 'extras' in their quote. Have booked with them for
Portugal in Sep. Will let you know how it goes.

I am yet to find a reliable car hire site that pulls up the best prices. I usually end up searching round myself as companies like holidayautos don't tend to find the best. Recently I hired with a local company in Scotland and alamo in France. I currently trying to find one for germany and found Avis are the best so far. ??? ::)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Has anyone got the holiday autos discount link, please - I had it bookmarked but lost it after a computer crash.0

auto-europe was the cheapest for me. I phoned Holiday autos for a price match as I'd always been happy with them, they phoned me 4 days later and still wanted £10 more than auto-europe, without offering as good a deal - so much for their price match guarantee!!!0

These guys always seem quite reasonable:

I always use Avis, they are very very expensive, but I pay with Tesco clubcard deals ;-)You're Damned If You Do & You're Damned If You Don't :doh:0 -
We generally use what I think is a broker site, https://www.amigoautos.com for car hire in Majorca, but they claimto do most of europe. The company we usually get the car from is then europa rent a car who are pretty good.
We did use Avis once, because I get a discount at work, but don't really want to touch them with a barge pole unless I can help it. When we took the car back the guy spent about 5 minutes examining every inch trying to find the slightest reason to charge me the damage excess - we hadnt of course paid the damage waiver thing which I always baulk at paying !0 -
Economycarrentals is a very good broker.
Try their site https://www.economycarrentals.com/default.asp
It is a secure site and their online system is very easy...
Of course the most important is the price and the service and I was very happy with them!0
