Oak table - sunlight

Hello

we have an oak table with leather chairs, i am currently covering two chairs to protect from sunlight, should i be doing the same with the table? will it fade? only a quarter of the table gets sunlight and one of the legs.

    Most of our oak is oiled and has darkened rather than faded. Could you not put up blinds?
    It seems a shame to cover everything really.:confused:

    Yup oak will darken with age but I'm not sure of the affect of long term exposure to the sun. I'd go for covering the window too :)

    virtually all materials will change to some degree, with exposure to strong sunlight.
    better to cover the window in some way.
    eg, net curtains will help.
    Get some gorm.
