Best Deal for 3 Appliances

Options
Am looking to purchase 3 major appliances:
-American style fridge freezer with Ice and Water dispenseraround £700-900
-Electric cooker with double oven(1 fan), ceramic hob for as little as possible!
-Gas Cooker for as little as possible!

Went to Currys and asked if bought 3 appliances any chance of discount and they rang me back to say i could have free delivery, which you get if order on the net anyway!!! I thought there was a recession on and firms would be more willing to cut a deal, obviously not!

Any recommendations and/or advice gratefully received thanks

I got a good deal on 5 appliances by find the best internet price then taking them to my local independent who sold the same brand. I asked him if he could match the price (allowing for delivery charge from the internet site). He got within £20 and I thought this was good enough considering I only need to go up the road if I have a problem.

Your local shop would love to have your business and their customer service will probably be better than a big national. Give them a try.

Sounds like you were way too nice! Don't ask if there is any chance of a discount, one possible answer to that is "no". Tell them what you are willing to pay (a very low offer) and then keep quiet and let them work up. If you have ever seen "Don't Get Done, Get Dom" you will know what I mean - might be available on BBC iplayer.

We found Boots on line (actually same supplier as Sainsburys.B&Q plus lots of others)were offering best deal on our LG American fridge, 'cos you got Boots points too. Also the price was changed, pretty fast, when other compatitors cut their prices. They would be a couple hundred £ variation, sometimes!!

Also they have £19.95ish delivery cost, regardless of how many items you order.

& have you decided on which colour/make fridge you want? If it's black, the LG is the ONLY one to give you a smooth, really good surface finish, on the doors. Whirlpool is a bumpy effect, Samsung is just like a cheap respray on an old car 'orange peel' finish. & none of them offer a smooth finish to the sides of the cabinet - I actually put a lot of effort into ours, to make it look acceptable, on the sides & using a car wax, when I do the weekly house clean, the reflection on the doors is outstanding!

    & read http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=227697

But as for the 3 from one place, still pricerunner check.

& for warranties - John Lewis offer inclusive 3years on many kitchen items.WEe got best price on Electrolux oven there.

We got Baumatic hob (2years warranty with Baumatic if you register the purchase on line) from Dixons - they WILL pricematch/beat, if you call them!

But you'll also get an extra free 1 year, warranty, if you use your Nationwide credit card .

There will also be makers extended warranties in the box, which are sometimes good value.
