Thanks CG77, but she plays golf all the time and is a member of a good club, so I don't think I could do much there...
Am looking as we speak into gift ideas, I have a bit of time until her b/d luckily!
I didn't think it would be this hard to find something!0 -
Hi
Just a thought, this one depends on sense of humour and sensitivity about age:p
How about 'Introduction to becoming an OAP' or something along those lines (I did this for my MIL, luckily she has a sense of humour;) )
Basically it's a box lined with crepe paper and inside were the forms to get her free bus pass, info about any grants she'd now get (energysavingtrust website), support tights, vitamins for 60+, sweets from when she was a little girl, pretty much anything to do with getting older which will I knew would actually be useful and appreciated or just funny

............................And yes me and my MIL do get along and I am still married to her son:rotfl:Debt [STRIKE]£52,656.60[/STRIKE]_pale_£41273.42:)

I was thinking more along the lines of a day with a pro or at a championship course or something. My dad and FIL are both golf-mad and we know they'd love this. We thought about sending my dad for a game with a pro on a top course for his 60th, then all meeting after for a meal. He would have loved it but as his and mum's 60ths were only 2 months apart we decided to do something for them both together and she hates golf!! :-)
Good luck with whatever you decide-I LOVE buying presents so do let us know what you go for in the end!
