Can someone please help. I got a wireless laptop a while ago and set up a beklin router. It has been working fine until I changed the security settings yesterday. When I set the last one which was MAC to enable as someone suggested on another thread the connection went off totally and I cannot get it back. Im not very technical.

You need firstly to disble MAC address filtering. Re-establish you connection with your laptop & add the MAC address to one of the ID's. If its not visible it will be in your DHCP client list. Then you should be able to turn address filtering back on.0

Hi beegood,
I would suggest the simplest way of restoring your connection is to reset the belkin router itself. Either by turning it off or more likely, there should be a small reset hole at the back, which you can access using a pin.
This will have the effect of restoring the router back to its default settings, without any security features enabled.0 -

Won't be possible as they won't be able to connect to the router due to the MAC filtering (in order to disable it).
Instead of completely reseting the router, instead unplug it from where it is, and plug it in next to your computer. It most likely came with a piece of network cable, so hook your computer up to it via that.
You can then configure your wireless settings via the cable connection which won't have the same restrictions.
Get your wireless connection working properly, and then move it back. This is usually the best way to configure a wireless router."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
