warning Scotish power being cheeky sods!

Options
I was on a fixed tarrif with scottish power which I knew was due to run out soon. Today they wrote to me to say they are extending the fixed tarrif, but I knew the cheaky sods had reduced their prices in the meantime, so I will be paying over the odds. One trip to uswitch (via quidco) later, and I'm en route to changing suppliers, with £12 cashback, and also I've got a credit on my bill, so I should have a cheque for that too :)

So watch out anyone else who gets a similar letter this week!

My brother got a letter from them last year saying they would be moving him to a fixed price tariff unless he opted out - seems to be their way.

Best trip would have been comparison site, then clear cookies, then go to Quidco or similar 100% Cashback site to switch direct to chosen new supplier.

Who did you switch to for 12.00 Cashback ? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • They also have a clever trick of upping your monthly payments - even after you object and they agree not to over the phone - check the bottom of your bills for "notice" that your costs are increasing.
Should you have the gall to complain they would seem to "punish" you further by increasing the payments even more.
It's high time British consumers voted with thier feet, as I am doing, and switching away from the compaines that use underhand tactics to increase the already obscene profits that they make. I think that we, as consumers, forget that we have immense power to change the way we are treated as customers if we vote with our feet and desert those who give bad service!
