haggle with car insurances, it works

Just wanted to post to say it really does pay to shop around for car insurance. I am with AA and my renewal was for £450. Went onlne and got best renewal price for £315 with only £100 excess. then phoned up companies and haggled between them. Ended up with one company on my landline offering a quote of £275, and another who had already dropped its price twice, beating that quote with one for £268, still £100 excess, still business use, al standard things etc. So a saving of about £180!!! for a couple hours research and phoning free numbers.
