Social Tarriff gas and electric
Options
I had not heard of this untill today, found out by chance, the government gave a lot of money to gas and electricity companies to help those on really low income and struggling to pay for these utilities,it is for those on low incomes, pension credit etc,a guideline given to me was if you are paying more than ten percenct of your income for utilities,it can be quite a saveing, over 200 a year in some cases but not widely notified by them,i found i qualify today (on pension credit)reduceing my bill by 20%,if you think you qualify, phone your company and ask about the social Tarriff.

The govt didnt give them the money but forced them to pay themselves to avoid legislation to be brought in to make them do this.0
