Gas AGA cooker - Also heats water - how to reduce running cost?
When we moved into our house it had a gas fired AGA installed . The Aga is running 24 hours a day 7 days a week . It keeps the Kitchen very cosy in the Winter but unbearably hot in the summer. It also produces all the hot water for the house.
Does any one else have experience of a similar setup . Our gas bills are at least £100 every month which seems massivly high compared to our friends and I am now looking at how we can reduce this cost.

my sister has this set up. she turns the aga off in summer and uses a cheap second hand boiler piped in series with the aga to heat the water when the aga is off. she has 2 microwaves to cook!! it works for her and the gas bill is a lot less.0
