So 5 people from the same branch all got hacked online on the same day ? What were you trying to buy ?

If so that sounds that the bank might have internal staffing problems...
  • I just have to let the bank get on with their investigation and hope the payday companies accept my repayment proposal. I'm getting kicked out of my home tonight as well so got to find somewhere to stay once I get back from work as I have'nt been able to get any money together for rent. Not too much of a problem as I can stay with friends, just annoying that I've never once not paid my rent in over 18 months.......just waiting for the next thing to happen. Thanks for all your help anyway.

I already pre-empted their phone calls and threats by sending them proposals yesterday in the post with post dated cheques for all payments and asking for everything to be in writing. They either have'nt had these yet or are just ignoring them.

its a wee while since I worked for a bank but unless its changed I wouldnt do that.

Postdating a cheque is only an agreement between you and the recipient that they will not cash that cheque until a given date.

If they decide to cash the cheque chances are the bank will pay out on it. Most cheques are processed manually and therefore only checked to see if words match figures.

I wouldnt recommend using postdated cheques.

If you have a proper tennancy agreement that is illigal, it takes 3 to 6 months of none payment to legally make you homeless.
