Hi there,
We have received a mortgage offer for our (hopefully) new home. The mortgage is subject to building regs being complied with for all items less than 4 years old. The property has a terrace which was put in when the house ws converted (22 years ago), which does not have a hand rail. The surveyer picked this up and said it fails building regs as is, but does this mean it needs to be sorted to satisfy the mortgage conditions, or just something we need to do post completion?
