And what happened to your credit rating??

F**KIN CREDIT!!! All credit ever done for me is get me in debt.
I decided a couple of years ago that I would not take out any more loans/credit cards/HP's/overdrafts etc and live off money earned only. Feels great:D
Ok! I might still be in DEBT. But like I said I'm paying it at what I can afford. Who gives a monkey's about an "excellent credit rating" certainly not me;)

I can remember a few years ago switching away from Scottish Power while owing them about £280 and they let me switch away with no probs.

Personally I would apply for the switch, if it gets rejected then no harm done - it shouldnt harm your credit rating as its rejected by the company you are with, not the one you are moving to so it wouldnt be subject to a credit check.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

I started the process to move from SP still owing them a big wedge from the winter qtr. The only indication I have had is the standard "sorry to lose you" email from SP. Spoken to my new supplier on the phone and they dont see any issues with the transfer due to me being in debit to my existing supplier. By the time the transfer is effective I will have had 2 DD payments which will reduce whats owed.

To be fair, SP are a particularly wacky company, lol. Great cashback payers as well. No matter how many times you've left and returned within a few months suspect.gif

Most times if you are paying by direct debit they will let you go even if you have a smallish debt.
