Trying to buy Asus graphic card

I just posted a massive first post already but when I press send it never worked! Here goes the retype!

I am so glad I found this thread on here:

BEWARE of Techbitsonline or CCK Technologies

becuase I was just about to order a Asus graphics card from techbits who seem to be the cheapest. Now I have read this post I don't think I will order it but I have found a few other people I haven't heard of. I am really sorry for you guys who have been burnt already though! The other people selling the card are Lambdatek, Kikatek and Mediaatlantic.

Lambdatec with delievry comes to £93.31 but I can't call them unless I make an account on their website first?? !!!!!!? Why do I need to do that to ask you a question, idiots!

MediaAtlantic with delivery comes to £94.56 and I managed to speak to someone(which was nice) who said the delivery was a bit cheaper than what the website said because it estimates it at theold vat price. He said it works it out properly at the end though at 15%.

Kikatek with delivery comes to £97.77 becuase they charge a whopping £10.23 +vat for delivery. They don't have a phone number either! You can only get hold of them through an online e-ticket system! Whats wrong with these people.

So MediaAtlantic are the best option at the moment but like I said, i haven't heard of them. Can anyone else help? Web site is mediaatlantic and the card I want is a Asus EN9600GT Silent 512mb. If you can help i will owe you a beer.

A lot of online stores will only deal with queries via email as that allows them to keep the overheads lower, which in turn means they can pass the savings onto the customer.

What are you going to be using the card for? If it's gaming and you want to future proof yourself a bit more, you could try and stretch to £130 and get an ATI Radeon HD 4850 which is a much better card, although you'd need to make sure you have room in your case and a decent PSU..

Ebuyer have some cheap 9600's, which might be worth checking out.

    hi anewhope (starwars lol)

Thanks, for your post. I have had a look on ebuyer and the best card they have is ASUS 8500GT in the silent version.

I want a silent card just for some mild gaming really, I don't want the noise right now. One day I will build a big gaming rig but can't afford it right now. I am an nVidia fanboy so want to stick with that make of chipset I think. I have also used Asus in the past so think this is the best of the silent range without breaking the bank.

I think the 9600GT Silent is my best option right now, I just wonder about this company?

Hmmm. After some searching on the web late last night I couldn't find anything bad about mediaatlantic so i think i may give them a try? I'll hold off until lunchtime though just in case anyone says anything??? Please?

Have ordered it because i'm hoping it will be here for the weekend. They accept Paypal as well as credit card so I feel a bit safer using that. Will see what happens now!
