how do I change my digital prints back to colour

Hi folks

I hope someone can help. I ordered some digital prints with the digital lab but I turned my colour photos to black and white. does anyone know how to turn them back to colour?

I am desperate as these where my wedding photos

Are they on your memory card and was it from the card that you changed them to B & W at the photolab?

I downloaded the photos from the memory card to my computer and then from my computer I uploaded them to Digital lab and selected the photos in Black and white and then after my order was processed I noticed that they had been saved on my computer in black and white.

If you have overwritten the pics saved on your PC with the B & W version, then you have a problem as you cant change them back. Do a careful search as the original colour ones may be there in addition to the B & W version. I presume you have deleted them from your memory card, if not just transfer them again.

if i transfer the black and white back to the memory card will I be able to change then back to colour on the camera?

if so any idea on how to transfer back to the memory card?

Im afraid you wont be able to as the colour "information" will have been lost

oh well i have the original photo I guess I will just scan it. it wont be as good quality though

DO NOT TOUCH THE MEMORY CARD. Do you have a friend whom is computer savvy?

The files should still be on your memory card in colour.Unless you have deleted them from the card,you should be able to download them again to a different location on your computer.

there is no way to "convert them back to colour".

It's like unbaking a cake. ::)

but if there is still a copy of the original colour photos on the memory card, you can download them again to a different folder on your computer and they will be in colour.

In future it's a good idea to burn a backup copy of all photos onto a CD as soon as you download them to your computer, just in case anything goes wrong
