Whose fault?

I had a collision this morning with a van on a round about. I just got on the extreme left lane when I heard a thud. came out there was the van behind me telling me that it was all my fault. The collision effects on my car were minor few scratches on the hub cap of the back wheel driver' s side as for the van it had some scratches on the left hand side of its front bumper. What I would like to know is whether it si my fault like the van driver claims?
Thank you

  • Sorry not enough information to give an OPINION....we cannot ascertain blame here. Pass to your insurance company who will sort out who's to blame.

For us to give an OPINION we need pictures of the roundabout, where each vehicle was on the roundabout, the manouvre each driver claims to have been executing, the speed of each driver, any markings on the road left by either vehicle braking, the density of the traffic at the time of the incident, streetlighting, what time of day this happened at, what the speed limit was at the site of the collision and also what exactly happened after the collsion..verbals from each driver, police intervention, injury etc etc

Well, from the look of things, he drove into the back of you - so it should be his fault .... but did you pull out in front of him, giving him no time to stop??

Maybe time to go back to driving school and take some lessons???
  • Going by what you've said with the damage being on your driver's side and his being on the passenger side, I would imagine the van driver's insurance company would say it was your fault probably claiming you pulled out in front of him when you should have given way.

But as other's have said without further information, pictures etc. we could not state blame.

As stated before. It is up to the insurance companies to attribute blame.

You provide your account and the other party provides their's.
