  • that is what i am unsure of... i have sopken to a few people at fos and asked why it is being re-assessed but they just keep saying to wait on the 'business' contacting me which is now what i am going to do...tbh it was a pretty stressful few weeks with over £1k on my card that i hadnt acutally spent! It makes me wonder if the fos have acutally read my complaint letter and took it to be another ppi amount complaint...

..2 weeks later the outstanding amounts were paid and a goodwill payment appeared in my bank,
Again I ask; What is the problem?
  • My complaint was how the payments were handled not the amount so i am curious as to why they are re-assessing the ppi.

Yes they rectified the mistake but this was 2 weeks after telling me there was no error and to take my complaint to the ombudsman which i did.

i dont have a problem i am just curious if anyone has had a similar expreience

Why do you want to know if other posters have had mistakes rectified?
  • i thought these forums were for people to post questions and share experiences??

if you haven't had any experience with my situation why are you quizzing me?

Because I post here a lot and want to know why you want to hear that others share your experience.
I very much doubt you'll receive any response from others, so please lose the "attitude".
  • I have no attitude and apologise if this is what you think. To me the tone of your messages are very blunt and dont come across as 'friendly' forum chat. I am confused as to why i have to provide a reason for asking if anyone out there has been in a similar situation to this.

The reason for my post was purely curiosity as i have never been in this postion or gone to the Ombudsman before. If there happened to be anyone out there who had a similar experience it would have been nice to share with them...nothing else.

I don't post regularly but this is because I have usually been able to find answers to questions i have in the threads where people have asked similar questions. This is one of the few times I haven't found anything, hence my post.

    thank you
  • Morning hope you are all well.

my head hurts with reading all these figures (LOL).

Could some one give me a rough idea as to how much i could stand to get on the following:-

    Loan over 72 months
PPI (insurance paid) £60 per month.
    Taken out Nov 2003
    Paid in full Nov 2009

Best regards and thanks in advance.

You will get 72 x £60 and the 8% interest.
Did you make a claim at all on the insurance? if you did they take this back, if not, brilliant:D
Did you pay the loan to term end or settle early?, I know you put the term but did you pay all this?.

thanks for that - yes the loan was paid off in full and no claims made. Is the 8% just based on the full 72x60 or otherwise.
