Well, remember it takes transfers 3-5 days, plus you have to take into account acts of god, the mood of the hamsters in the wheels that generate the power and the g20 protest tomorrow. With those things, the weekend, and easter, expect to see your interest on or around December 25 if you're lucky :D

In all seriousness, you should see it tomorrow.
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

No it isn't. The interest pay date is the last day of March, which is today. However it will be the END of the day, not the BEGINNING.

I must have put my watch forward by a day in that case, I was told over the phone that it would be payable on the last working day of March. i.e. today unless they have altered the payment day ?

I've calculated the interest I should have got since I opened the account in October and I'm anxious to see if I got it right! I'll be checking first thing in the morning!

Perhaps we'll log on and they'll say "no interest for you... april fools!!!" That's what I would do if I worked on the computer systems at Tesco (and I didn't value my job!)

Notwithstanding that, I would like to do a transfer out today but I can't get past Tesco's login page as my connection keeps cutting off (on AOL btw) Anyone else experiencing login problems with them?

An update: I misread the 'flickering screen' that results in the lost connection just after the first login page. In fact, although it never loads successfully, it says (in broken text as it were)
To use the Internet service, you must re-set your security for Telephone Banking.

If you have already returned the reply card you have been sent you will shortly receive a call from one of our advisors who will take you through the final stages.

If it has been a few days since you last contacted Telephone Banking and have not yet received a reply card, or it has been more than a few days since you returned your reply card call 08457 10 40 10.

Once your security has been re-set you will be able to re-use or register for the Internet service.
This is as a result of my phoning them up last week to verify if I had an R85 on the account -since otherwise I'm paying tax needlessly with very little time to put that right. Well, they confirmed on the phone that I did have an R85, but because I could not answer any 'telephone security' questions (I told them so, I didn't just have a stab at it) they stopped my phone access. However I never realised that stopping phone access locks the online access also (it seems you use your password and login number for both) The fact this was not advised to me is rather annoying as it suggests they 'wrongly' locked me out without establishing that I was truly unable to provide details. The fact that they still confirmed to the deemed 'impersonator' the R85 on the account in the process just seems bizarre.
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam

In that case they should pay interest at 12.01 PM

You'd think so, but banks are a law unto themselves really, aren't they.
