Just Moved in : Need Help!

I've just moved in with my partner into a flat. Its now time to sort our Electricty. I have no idea on where to go from here. I've taken meter readings but they make no sence to me.
When I go to compare sites they ask me how much power I use, but I have no idea as this is my first place without my mother.
Please Help I need to know where and what to do, Thank you.

HI,
Give an estimation. So ask your mom how much she uses, if it was just the two of you (or even 3 people) and use that as your estimation. It also depends on how big the place is.
Kind Regards

Have you provided your reading to the existing supplier? That's the most important thing to do first.
If you don't know what your consumption will be, give it about a month and then you'll have a better idea. I'm sure you have 101 other things to do at present in your new home than switch energy suppliers.
If you switch based on poor data, the words fire & frying-pan spring to mind"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
You should at least contact your existing suppliers and switch to paying by direct debit. That takes place immediately and can save you 5 to 15% whilst you decide. The trouble with the doing nothing recommended is that you will not be on a cheaper tariff - you will be deemed to be on standard tariffs and they are expensive.0
