What was the justification for the 20%+ pay cut, other than the economic downturn? Is everyone else in your company taking a similar percentage pay cut?
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • Yeh basically most of the directors have taken large pay cuts. Some up to 50%, some are working without a salary. Other people have taken similar cuts.

Obvously the economic down turn being the main excuse.

A load of people who work on the same areas have been made redundant.
  • in a lot of ways im lucky to be staying, plus with the current job market. that wage probally reflects what I would earn better. Still gutted though.

Hi they do have to go through a consultation process rather than just change your pay.... Did they do that?

It may be worth posting on the DFW board if you are struggling to manage within your new budget as they may be able to offer some suggestions on where you can cut back... or make savings. consider the make £10 a day challenge on the DFW board for ideas on how to increase your income!

We've cut our hours to help keep going - off topic it's gut wrenching to see on the news tonight that MPs have had a small INCREASE in their wages........
