Help please!

Hi all, wondered if anyone could help, on internet explorer whenever I try to click through on a website to another through a link, it just tries to load for a minute, then carries on with the first website. doesn't sound like im explaining it too well, but for example it won't let me open emails, or click through to a site from quidco. I haven't changed any securty settings recently, so have no idea why this is happening! any help appreciated! thanks

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

What browser are you using - IE, Firefox, Chrome? If IE, which version - 6, 7 or 8?

Have you checked your security settings - maybe a pop-up blocker filter is set too high? If it's IE, click Tools>Pop-up Blocker>Settings and check the filter setting at the bottom is on Medium at the most.
Where there's a will, there's a way to get something cheaper from somewhere else!! :D

those 3 entries looks like someone has been using a bittorrent program called vuze on your computer.

click start > control panel > add/remove programs (XP) or programs & features (vista) and see if you can see an entry for Vuze. if you can, i would uninstall it as it files downloaded through it could lead to further infection.
  • Yeah, i was using them for a while, will remove them as not really needed at the minute, but that has been on for a while so don't think its causing problems at the minute
