How does this compare with the Dell offer that's just finished?
How much does it cost to use the datacard?0 -
I got bought a laptop recently which came with the same Vodafone card. I sold the card on ebay for £68.00. A lot of people are doing this. The card is expensive to use, and I never had a need for it.Please use OpenDocument (ISO 26300) format (.odt - .ods - .odp - .odg) for attachments0

I don't think the deal includes a Vodafone 3G card. Vodafone is only sending out cards for laptops with INTEL processors in. This Acer laptop comes with an AMD processor, so when you phone up Vodafone for the free 3G card, they'll cross check the laptop serial number and find you can't have one!
You need to read the T & Cs small print for the free card offer.

Acer doesn't have DVD writer, otherwise machines are fairly similar.
Yes - the Vodafone card is an Intel tie-up promotion so no chance with the offer - they do cross check the serial nos. It costs £2 per Mb pay-as-you-go expensive, but fine as something to have for emergency email if you're away somewhere. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

regarding this offer, the current dell one is better, £339 for 512mb, 40gb, it started today and is availble online, so no hassle with dell's call centre!!Student Loan - £2200, Cleared June 2008

Now saving for my future!!0 -
Does that include delivery? Is the extra memory worth the extra £40?0

The dell offer includes delivery and you are getting more memory with the dell for £30 less, I know which one I would choose.Student Loan - £2200, Cleared June 2008
