How long to get car tax refund?

I had to scrap my car after it was written off so at the end of january sent the tax disc by recorded delivery for a refund and am still waiting for the cheque. I have emailed and rung and was told it was ue to be processed about a month ago. Wish they were as slow when you need to tax your motor.:j

Sent mine off 13th - got cheque back 27th!
OH also got his as quickly.
Maybe we were just lucky

Sorned a vehicle on 28-11-08, at the local DVLA office, cheque received for unused RFL 16-12-08.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

Well on the form you sent off (you do have a copy of what you sent don't you?) it says to allow 30 working days, then to phone the number on the back of the form.
Why not use google?
