WINDOWS virtual memory low- help

hi my windows virtual memory is low causing my lap top to be very slow i think the windows commaond said the operating system was incresaing the paging for the memory?

is there anything i can do to further help as its still slow

ive have cleaned up the temp ineternet files etc via scan disk

but still got problems

Basically you are running out of RAM so its using part of your harddrive as RAM which is very slow.

The only really way around this is to buy more RAM, if you go too Crucial's website then search for your laptop and they will tell you which is compatible, they are good prices and very good quality RAM, also they do give cashback on quidco if you use it.

As a temporary measure you can run malwarebytes startup lite and make sure only essential programmes are running at startup (totally safe).

If you automatically have messenger or openoffice for example loading at startup that can slow down your computer and hog ram. Try not to run too many programmes at once. It sounds like you have a low spec machine like mine so if you are downloading something don't run messenger, a word processor and the net as well!
