My eBay account has gone mad tonight
Comments
-
It seems to be behaving itself this morning in that no items are appearing in my 'watching' list.
Annoyingly though, the one item I am bidding on isn't appearing in my 'watching' list but under 'active' and when I click on the item to see the details it tells me 'you are watching this item' when I'm not.
At least the main problem seems to have been solved though and I'll do a scan on the laptop and make sure everything is okay.0 -
This has happened to me twice this week, that's why I'm on here looking for answers/advice. (MSE is always my first port of call :T ) The first one was a CD by some singer I've never even heard of, and tonight it was for a camcorder! I know for a fact that I never put these in my watched items. I've looked at (and bought) a CD this week but haven't looked at camcorders on ebayer ever!! It does make you wonder if someone is hacking into your account just to watch things. Stranger things have happened.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £73,772.29 Mar 2037Swagbucks ~ £155 (2025 ~ £240)Surveys~ £231.07 (2025 ~ £238.94)Make £2026 in 2026 #18 ~ £830.53 ~ (2025 ~ £2,368.64)0

My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
This happened to me too, items from the "how about these" panel on the watching page got put on my watch list.
So I adblocked it... did the trick.0 -

I have noticed this too. I had looked at a few odd items and a few days later, similar items were in my watch list. I deleted them and they haven't come back.Maybe Ebay were testing a new feature to enhance our buying experience?
Unfortunately i can't read the link frivolous fay posted because ebay.co.uk is banned by our firewall so will have to wait until I get home.0
