Not sure if this will help anyone:
I decided to check into switching from Scottish to BGas Capped. After trying to make sense of the pricing, I rang up both co's.
B Gas are more pricey on their capped prices BUT the lady informed me of a new tariff called Click Energy which begins in May. The whole thing is based on the internet and all you have to do is pay monthly and each month answer their email with your current meter readings.
The prices I was quoted were not capped, but were very competitve from what I can see.
Gas Tariff 1: 3.032 Tariff 2: 2.113
Elect Tariff 1: 10.306 Tariff 2: 6.518 based on rates for the Southern area.
There's no standing charge, and because I'll be going onto the standard tariff for a month before the new click energy starts, they are going to credit me with a month's free gas (£47) after the third month.

Hi,
I just signed up for this today after speaking to Scottish Power and they admitted they could get no where near these prices. I too am in Southern area and can see the prices match what you have for electric but the gas ones are different. I see Tier 1. 3.167 tier 2 - 2.431 - it does say they are from 1st March 2006 so maybe they only just went up and they also say they apply from March 20th. link here............ https://www.house.co.uk ...then click...our cheapest electricity online then hit ....click energy rates0 -
I am tempted to jump onto Click Energy, especially for Electricity as it seems a hell of a lot cheaper than everyone else. Trouble is I have no faith BG wont boost the prices up once they have a nice load of customers on board.
Whats peoples opinions on Click, many concidering the change?0 -
I was looking at this too - I asked a question in an earlier thread but got no replies.

So, no one seems to know much about it, but it seems fairly straightforward - account is conducted entirely online, even the customer services number is a premium rate number. Also, direct debit only, and you have to provide your own meter readings online.
Just hope it's not another BG ploy to get the top places on the comparison sites before bumping up the tariffs... :undecided0
