    I tend to use the BBVA cash machines which let me choose how to exchange.

    Yes, it's very simple and in France you will get a choice of English as soon as you put your card in.

    We went to France last Summer and Spain the year before, it was much simpler than I thought to use an ATM in both countries.

    Nothing special about BBVA, they all do that, assuming they are working correctly.
