Watch List for Shares

Hi,
I am a newbie to investing and am planning on opening a self-select mini stocks & shares ISA in the new tax year.
I have done my research and feel nearly ready to go. I came across a useful post earlier but I cannot seem to find it again..should have saved the link!
Would anyone be able to give me a link or point me in the right direction as to where I can find a 'watch list' or similar tool? I would like to pick a few shares and monitor them at least until April so I can get a feel for how things work before throwing my money in.
I have visited and registered on https://www.iii.co.uk but perhaps I have been online too long as I cannot find this facility anywhere on their website!
Thanks for your help!

Dunno about iii, but you could create a portfolio at www.moneyextra.comOf course, I may just be talking b****cks!0

Click the Portfolio link on the left-hand menu on the https://www.iii.co.uk site - this should take you to a page (after you log in) that you can build a watch list of shares on.0

I like squaregains, you can customise it which you can't iii's unless you pay a subscription.0

Off topic a bit but just a question..........
If you are a newbie to investing how much are you likely to be investing? The reason I ask is because do you *really* need an ISA account straight away? You have a capital gains tax limit of £8500 per year so depending on the amount of capital you're looking to invest you may be slightly better of just signing up for a normal dealing account - saving yourself the annual admin fee). I know with Squaregain for an ISA account you are also set up with a normal dealing account, and you could alsways add an ISA account later and switch money into the ISA account as you grow your investments.
I have been investing for a while now and have only recently reached the stage where I need to start switching money into my ISA dealing account because of CGT concerns (admitedly I been able to use my wife's account / CGT limit to assist in reducing any CGT liability in a single year).
I know there is the other argument that it is useful / wise to use your ISA allowance each year as it may end at some point but realistically I cannot see that happening.
