National Ins. Deadline

Recognising the deadline set by the government on making up Nat. Ins. shortfalls of the 6th April, I tried to acquire a Statement from the Nat. Ins. office. A Web site is said to be available to acquire a pesonal Statement. After spending days acquiring registration to use this website I was told it is now not functioning. After contacting the Nat. Ins. office direct by phone, I am now told it will take 10 working days to acquire a statement and hence I will now miss the deadline to make any shortfall payment. Any advice? I would have thought in the circumstances of not being given a statement the office should take the request for a statement date into account.

No offence Jimish but you left it a bit late! I assume you contacted State Pension Forecasting when you couldn't use the website [not your fault and I take your point that it's not your fault it isn't functioning]. Requesting a forecast over the phone can take up to 10 working days to issue.
What are you circumstances? If you want to be sure you are on course for state pension could you tell us your date of birth? If you reach state pension age after 5 April 2010 you need 30 years either contributed or credited to get a full state pension. Does that help at all?0
