Phoned up thomson today (0871-231-4691) to get price for 9 nights s/c at the bonaire in Cala Bona, Majorca as the internet site will only do 10 instead of 9...
The girl said that the system wont allow 9 days to show up, so i will have to book the 10 days(the extra day would cost £45, not happy as that £45 could buy me 12 pints of beer :-).
Has anyone come across this before. Have i the correct telephone number?
Or can anyone tell me on "how to save the extra £45" as this is a moneysaving site afterall:T

Do the airline fly there everyday? This would explain only ten days being available.Gone ... or have I?0

You could try booking hotel sperately through Thomson Hotel section http://www.thomson.co.uk/hotels.html then add flight to booking if viable. If not viable book flights seperately elswhere."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0

Sorry Guys,
Forgot to mention....
We have allready booked the flights seperately..
We only want to book 9 nights self catering at the hotel and upgrade to hb with the hotel...
Its a thomson ONLY hotel, therefore we cant book with the hotel direct, you can only book with tompson...
On website `hotels only` it will only let me book the 10 nights, when we only require 9...
Surely, there must be someway to book only the 9..
any ideas?0 -
Thomson generally only sell their package holidays for set periods of time; to coincide with the flights (usually 7, 10 and 14 nights).
Unfortunately as you're hotel is exclusively Thomson, they are the only people selling rooms there so they probably keep the entire hotel to the set periods.0 -
have you tried booking a 7 and a 2? I did this once for my mom when the hotel was only showing 10, But some hotels have set change over days so even this might not be possible and you will just have to pay for 10 if thats where you want to go or book another hotel
One good thing is if you book 10 and have a late flight you wont have to leave your room at the crack of dawn
Just checked and it will let me book 2 days so if your dates are available this might be an option
what dates are you after? because its letting me book 9 daysIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -

2 nights 2-4 june 2 people 1 bed apt £86 7 nights 4-11 june 2 people 1 bed apt £321
showing nowSomething Really Interesting0 -
2 nights 2-4 june 2 people 1 bed apt £86 7 nights 4-11 june 2 people 1 bed apt £321
showing now
Thanks...
Yes, just checked on website...
7 days @ £315
2 days @ £86
Total = £401 as oposed to thomson showing £452 ( saving £51)
Only thing is would the hotel move us to another room after 7 days, and might have to wait till 3pm to access room. Really dont want the hassle, especially having 2 young children.
Simply, cant understand why thomson wont quote me the 9 days instead of the 10  .
Or did I call and speak to a trainee or someone that couldnt be bothered to help....
Looks like i will have to fork out the extra £51 then, !!!!!! thats my 15 pints of larger gone then :rotfl:
Thanks anyway guys for trying to help, cheers0 -
No just mention when checking in that you have 2 bookings and could you stay in the same room for the whole stay or email them beforehand to let them know.I am sure all will be ok and we have never had a problem when doing the same thing as its actually less work for them to do it this way."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0

Would be worth letting them know before check in, just in case they do allocations in advance. I think the only time you would have a problem is if they were particularly busy and/ or needed to keep large tour groups together. When I used to do allocations there were only a handful of times that we could not honour a linking request, and that was accommodating 9000 people each week!Gone ... or have I?0
