Regus Meeting Rooms?

Options
Right, got a question....

Has anyone used Regus meeting rooms? Looking to use them for some of my freelance work...more professional than my lounge I guess?

They work out to be cheaper than hotels and I'm impressed with the number of locations, but just wanted to run it past the experts...i.e. you!

The pro's:
Cheap, adhoc cost
Flexible locations

Con's:
Not permanent office

All thoughts appreciated!! :)

Ben

I suppose it depends on the nature of your business and how many people you are meeting. I have had many productive business meetings in coffee shops for the price of a cup of coffee.

I think they're fine, used them quite a few times, reasonably priced, nice rooms.
Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!
  • @Paddy2eyes Yeah coffee shops work - I've done the same, but for some meetings I'm looking for a bit of an upgrade to impress, and these huys seem to fit the bill.

@wonka thanks for the reassurance! Seing a lot of positive responses across forums so really reassuring.

Any one else used Regus meeting rooms?

    Cheers.

I once 'worked' and I use that term loosely for a company that rented out rooms at Regus. unfortunately the company itself was bogus and Regus were swift to boot them out. I found the Regus premises in BrindleyPlace Birmingham to be very nice indeed.

Have used them on a few occasions, mainly to run training days, when my usual hotel is fully booked, they are good.

However if its just a client meeting I wouldnt bother, find a decent hotel reception (Not travelodge) will do, you might get stung for a coffee, but it will be cheaper than Regus rooms.

I have never used them before but I strongly agree with you that Avanta meeting rooms and the rest of them are cheaper than hotels.

    Great post.
I work on behalf of MS, however, my views do not necessarily reflect theirs, I am not acting as a representative of the company while on this forum and I cannot warrant that what I say is 100% correct in all cases.
  • Do you need a fixed location or vsrious locations?

I usually try coffee shops or hotel restuarants. We are a portable and therefore dont have a studio, I thankfully no the owner of a local well repuatated restuarant with a coffee shop next door where we now hold our meetings.

Perhaps the cheapest option would be to get to know a local business owner like Ive done - they might help you out by reserving a quiet end of the room and a tray of tea and coffee ready for your clients arrival?
Life is what you make it.
