Hi we have walk through lounge approx 5 x 8 m
We are thinking of laying wood floor but dont know what is best.
Its a walk through room to kitchen. We always remove shoes to try and keep carpet clean.
We're also considering re carpeting the whole house as ours are not good quality. this would include:
Lounge
3 bedrooms and stairs.
bedrooms: 3 x 8m, 3 x 6m, and 8 x 6m
what sort of price would we be looking at for this.
Thanks
Katie

There are squillions of them!!!!!!!!!
Your best bet is to measure and work out the square meterage of the area to be carpeted and go to a few showrooms with a calculator and work out some figures (don't forget to add the price of underlay, gripper rods and fitting to that of the carpet). Budget is a big thing, you can pay £3 a m2 or £60 m2 or anywhere inbetween!
As far as lounge goes, depends again on budget and personal preference, solid wood is best, next is engineered wood, then laminate. Again anything from £3 m2 for cheepo laminate to £100 m2 for top quality Oak! You need to do the rounds of the suppliers and get a feel for what you can get with your budget
