Hi
I recently made a payment of about £125 using paypal. Knowing that my bank account could not support this payment at the current time I explicitly instructed PayPal on their confirmation screen to debit my credit card, and their system confirmed that this is what would be done.
No, my credit card wasn't debited, they used the direct debit from my bank account, and they take my account into overdraft landing me a £25 charge. Phone paypal up, after some long winded discussion they say phone the bank, ask them to reverse the payment in effect.
So not getting anywhere with PayPal, I do this. They tell me yes, we can reverse the payment, but you still get the overdraft charge, because you made an ATM cash withdrawal on the same day, and you should have checked you balance then.
Well, firstly, without the mess up with PayPal, my other two payment would not have taken me over my limit, and secondly, the minute I knew about the overdraft (which was the next day when I check my internet banking) I cleared the overdraft.
My question is, what options do I have for getting shot of my overdraft charge?

If Paypal took the money from the wrong account in error, then ask Paypal to refund the charge.0
