Appeal . Please Help.

i HAVE AN APPEAL HEARING ON WED 1 APRIL AND NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE.ONE YEAR AGO I HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO CLAIM JSA ,i MISSED MY APPOINTMENT AS I THOUGHT IT WAS BOOKED FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY, AS SOON AS i REALISED MY MISTAKE I CALLED JOBCENTRE,. i WAS GIVEN ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WHICH . I DID ATTEND THE FOLLOWING WEEK.i HAVE A LETTER FROM JOBSEEKERS SAYING THAT I AM ENTITLED TO JSA FROM WHEN I FIRST CLAIMED ACCORDING TO LETTER :THE LAW SAYS I NEED THIS MONEY TO LIVE ON: BUT AS i MISSED MY APPOINTMENT IT HAS BEEN DECIDED THAT I MUST LOOSE 19 DAYS MONEY. i UNDERSTAND THAT I AM AT FAULT BUT FEEL THAT MY PUNISHMENT DOES NOT FIT MY CRIME.,pLEASE HELP IS IT WORTH ME ATTENDING THE HEARING?

You have answered your own question.
Your JSA was not paid because you did not attend your appointment to make a claim.0 -
I'd have said there isn't much point tbh as you don't have a valid reason for not attending.
Does it really take a year to get a hearing if you appeal a sanction?
I'm not convinced you aren't winding us up but please do correct me if I am wrong...0 -
You probably wont change their minds.
They agreed to give you JSA, but you got a sanction for missing the appointment. They will simply ask why you missed it, if you needed the money so badly. They will ask why you didn't know the date exactly, and how they know you will make it to interviews.
Probably not worth the effort for 19 days last year, in my opinion.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0
