Did BBC report Gas and Elec to come down this week?
Options
Did I see a report this morning on the BBC that prices were going to be dropped again this week?
I missed the start of the segment and am not sure if this is about some fresh price drops to be announced - or if it is the implimentation dates of the previous announcements that the big players did?
Can anyone enlighten me as I am due to be bumped onto a std rate from 01 April and had plans to make some calls today.
Thanks
Rick

Rick,
I understand that this applies to domestic rates, commercial rates for business gas and electric prices change on a daily basis. Over the last few months there seems to have been a downward trend, but it would seem that the market, like most things at the moment, is volatile and change change drastically.
Hope this helps!GC January 2015 - £0/£1200 -
I suspect it was a general comment, beacuse most companies that are making any reductions don't become effective until 30/31st March
BG reductions became effective 19 Feb."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Watchdog had something on last night about energy prices, feedback on some energy companies spokes person about how the poor energy companies need to re-invest money etc..etc.. and wholesale gas prices etc...then an energy expert followed up with how this was rubbish. Usual stuff, usual spin from energy companies (must have been trained by our honest and upstanding government to deliver the truth and answer a straight question!) and usual spin from regulators. Company policy appears to be increase prices as soon as wholesale prices rise, announce record profits, adjust business to maintain profits, confuse public with mobile phone like tariffs, if wholesale prices fall ignore... (repeat cycle n times!)..
Oh forgot collecting free loans from customers in the guise of DDs...
Sorry for the non-constructive comments but it feels good!0
