Find me a hotel in Dublin (plus any other advice!)

Hi,

I've been trying to decide what to do with my partner - we've got a long weekend planned from the 24th to 27 April.

There are some good deals on Ryanair at the moment to fly to Dublin and back so I'm going to book these but need some help finding a nice hotel for a bargain price! I know Dublin is expensive like most capital cities so maybe something that includes a few meals may help keep the cost down? It would be for the nights of the 24th, 25th, and 26th April. Somewhere fairly central as well if possible.

Also, I wanted to know of any other ideas people had for us to do while we're there? Maybe see a show or go on a few days out that aren't too expensive!

Like I said, I know it's a lot to ask because of the cost of Dublin and the rubbish exchange rate but any advice is gratefully welcomed!

You can fly from London Stansted to Kerry for £50 each. Kerry (Ring of Kerry) will be 5 million times a better option than visiting Dublin, you'll be ripped off and it's a dirty tacky place. Hire a car in Kerry and marvel at Ireland really has to offer. I assure you that you will want to return every year.

Worth noting instead of Dublin, if you need any further info on heading there let us know.

Prob be an extra £25-30 each to fly onto Kerry from Dublin.

Up to yourself but that's the trip I'd make, there's nothing to do in Dublin, if you want to visit anything remotely interesting in that area, Glendalough (Wicklow) Newgrange (Meath) you'd need to rent a car.

I live opposite Newgrange so when someone from Leinster area (Dublin etc) says to visit somewhere else, take note!

You would be best trying to figure out the Ring of Kerry online and rent a car from the airport and make your way to somewhere along the route on the first night, the same the next day, you could have 3 stop off's and probably make your way all the way around Kerry peninsula. I'm sure if you check hotels online in the area you will get some decent packages for a 1 nite stay, prob get dinner chucked im with it. If you fancy it let me know and I'll point you towards some good places to visit and hotels to check out. If not best of luck with Dublin, your head will probably be wrecked walking into stag and hen parties every other minute.
