Nationwide - consent to let

Does anyone know if Nationwide are usually ok about giving consent to let a house, and if they charge any fees for this? Do they try and force you onto a BTL mortgage?
I just want to be prepared before I phone them. I may have to move for work but don't want to sell for a number of reasons. I wouldn't be buying another house, just renting.

Try asking on the Mortgages Board, too.0

Nationwide are good about this, but they require you to have a certain amount of equity before they will allow it and will only allow if for a certain period of time (IIRC one year or was it three?) From the date that they issue consent, and you cant have a mortgage holiday at the same time as letting it out. HTHPawpurrs x0

Personally if it were me I'd have asked them to put it in writing - it's a lot easier to prove if they deny it later on (although i'm not saying that they would)0 -
They put it in writing afterwards poo, just gave go ahead over phone, otherwise he would have lost the one he was buying - which they also gave the mortgage on.0
