Im so upset advice needed

Hello,

I have a credit card with first direct and sometime ago, sometime between the 6th and the 10th of Feb, I went into my local HSBC bank and paid aprox £183 onto my credit card, this has not appeared on my account.

I called F/D yesterday and they told me that they would look into it for me and would let me know within 7 days what has happend!

The thing is I paid this in, in cash and I dont have the reciept, I paid it over the counter and took the ladies word that it had gone onto my account.

Today I recieve a call from F/D basically telling me I have to go into the HSBC branch and sort it out! this is not my fault at all, I did nothing wrong, I cant handle this right now as im under soooo much stress Im due to exchange on my house anyday and the stress im suffering is very bad I also have 7 weeks until the baby is due, infact I cried on the phone Im so upset and cant affors to loose this money.

What can I do? I do not trust F/D to find this money as I think they are total idiots...

Hello, what a rotten problem for you. Why don't you ring your bank tonight, if it has a national call centre number, and see if you can sort it out. If you have online banking have a look at your transactions, your £183 should be recorded. If no luck with these suggestions, ring your bank very first thing in the morning. If you saw the cashier tapping the details onto her keyboard when you paid it in there will be a record at your bank of it and things should get sorted out. Hope this helps
