EON to Npower on prepayment meters
I am currently with EON and have been for a few years now, i pay through pre payment meters as i couldnt possibly afford big bills every quarter. I was approached through a canvasser from npower, and still awaiting the change over for suppliers. The npower salesman after going through all the figures stated they could save me nearly hundreds for duel fuel, so of course i signed up. Today i have had a call from my current supplier EON, trying to keep me as a customer, and now i have no idea which would be my best option.
Npower gave me a leafter, an offer which gives a discount of upto £72 per year, which to be honest wasnt what sold it to me. He went through the figures and stated:
EON Gas daily standing charge inc VAT - 21.83p
EON Gas unit rate - 3.56p
Npower daily charge - 1.49p
Npower unit rate - 2.88p
EON Elec daily standing charge inc VAT - 11p
EON Elec unit rate - 23p
Npower daily charge - 28p
Npower unit rate - 13p
Now as you can see both companies have given differents ways of showing there pricing between daily and quarterly, not sure how to convert them. But to me Npower does seem to be the better overall option.
Is there anything else i need to take into account? My approx yearly rates are: elec 3626 and gas 7011
Yes im a woman on my own with 2 children and this is so important for me to make the right decission. I also understand that i can get a capped amount on my supplies with being a student on income support, or is this a sales tactic?
All help is greatly appreciated
